Zac joined Pilgrim Firs in 2022 after seven years of leadership at Pilgrim Point Camp on Lake Ida in Alexandria, MN. His connection to camp life is personal, having attended UCC camps and retreats throughout the year from kindergarten through his youth. “Growing up in UCC camps, I was able to discover who I was outside the pressures of daily life. It’s exciting to now be creating that same space for adults, who often don’t get it.”
In 2016, Zac graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in Global Studies and Human Rights. Motivated by a desire to create meaningful impact in the lives of others, he found his calling in outdoor ministry – a space where his personal passion and professional pursuit converged.
Since moving to Washington, Zac has fallen in love with the beauty of the Pacific Northwest. From the rain and fog to the moss and the ferns, he finds bountiful inspiration in the region’s charm. He loves exploring the many state parks Washington has to offer and embarking on travels with his partner, discovering new cultures and foods along the way..
