Food
Breaking bread and sharing in conversation around a table is not only one of the best ways to forge connection – it’s also the backbone of a retreat. We pride ourselves on serving delicious, high-quality meals and desserts that keep you fueled for your adventures at camp. Our meals are served buffet-style with a variety of options. Participants are able to self-select and always find something they truly want to eat. Our kitchen operates nut and shellfish-free while also striving to accommodate gluten free, dairy free, vegetarian, vegan diets, serious allergies, and any combination of those. Group leaders are responsible for collecting detailed information about dietary restrictions and relaying it to the camp office two weeks prior to arrival. No matter the dietary needs, we think every person should be able to enjoy a quality meal.

Pricing & Space Inquiry
Pilgrim Firs Camp & Retreat Center is available for use by not-for-profit organizations. Our rates are built around the number of nights stayed and the number of meals served – not the group, facilities used, or time of year. It is our top priority to keep rates as fair and accessible as possible, with an additional discount offered to United Church of Christ churches and organizations. Please share details about your organization, the anticipated number of participants, your preferred number of nights, and the meals you’d like included. Based on this information, we’ll provide tailored rate and date options. Since many of our groups return year after year, available dates can be limited. We encourage group leaders to secure the reservation as soon as possible by promptly submitting your reservation form along with a deposit. Deposits range from $250 to $1,500, depending on the size of your group. Let’s create a memorable retreat experience together – contact us today!

Frequently Asked Questions

We do not. We work exclusively with nonprofit, religious, civic, and educational organizations. We work to create lasting relationships and generally do not host one time events.

Although outside food, snacks, and beverages are permitted, Pilgrim Firs includes meals with every stay. All housing spaces have a mini fridge and microwave should guests want to bring their own snacks or supplemental food.

No, guests are not allowed to bring their pet to Pilgrim Firs. ADA-certified service animals are permitted with prior approval of the Director.

If you are on Verizon, you’re in luck! We have a verizon cell tower onsite and have excellent 5G coverage. Our camp wifi (available in South Lodge and Madson) runs through Verizon 5G. If your participants are on a different network, well, they may be enjoying a more peaceful and disconnected time.

Pilgrim Firs never serves or provides alcohol, but we do permit beer & wine use in moderation with prior written consent of the Director. There is absolutely no alcohol use by or with minors under the age of twenty-one.

We ask participants to park “Elsewhere”. We have an elsewhere parking lot at each end of our site. For larger events, we can convert the upper field area into additional parking and RV space. Participants with serious mobility concerns are permitted to park at their cabin or housing space so long as their vehicle does not impede the road – it’s an emergency fire lane.

Pilgrim Firs does not provide lifeguards for events. All participants who engage in swimming or boating do so at their own risk and must submit a liability waiver: https://forms.gle/twHFdUnnTWtAfzG67 (adult) or https://forms.gle/W1eYzTWZoJpz178t6 (youth)

We have you covered! Pilgrim Firs provides bed sheets, pillow with case, comforter, blankets, bath towel, and washcloth at no extra cost. Campers are responsible for making and stripping their own bed.

Pilgrim Firs has a 15 person group minimum and a maximum capacity of 135. Groups with 80 or more participants will have exclusive use of the site. In order to accommodate smaller groups, we can host up to three groups on site at one time, each with their own gathering and lodging space. Some areas will be shared, such as the dining hall, and others are scheduled in advance like breakout spaces and use of various site features.

At Pilgrim Firs, we work together in community to share responsibilities during your stay. Guests are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of their housing space and dining area. On the final day, every housing space has a check-out list of tasks to complete, including stripping beds. We also ask that all breakout spaces be returned to the condition in which you found them, ensuring the next guests can enjoy a welcoming and tidy environment.

It is the responsibility of group leaders to carefully review the reservation form for their event prior to arrival to ensure we have all details correct, and to communicate with the Pilgrim Firs staff during planning. Two weeks prior to attending, we need a final participant count, list of any dietary requirements, and a housing chart. We are here to assist and answer any questions along the way.

Although we do not have RV hook ups, we do have abundant space to park RVs or pitch a tent if desired. Please inquire with Pilgrim Firs staff about options.
