OUR HISTORY: In 1956, Pilgrim Firs first opened as place for teens to explore their spirituality and develop leadership in a contemplative wooded retreat setting. Currently offering year-round church camps for all ages, Pilgrim Firs has remained a resource to local churches and the Pacific NW Conference for over 60 years: hosting local church retreats, conference events, and outside groups that return year after year. Seasonal programming brings hundreds of youth and adults to the shores of Lake Flora, for spiritual exploration, canoeing and kayaking, swimming, hiking, meditation, campfire songs, arts and crafts, and amazing food. Located 3 miles from the City of Port Orchard, it's a short trip from Seattle, and a spiritual oasis for those seeking a retreat.
OUR FUTURE: Starting in 2017, Pilgrim Firs and sister camp N-Sid-Sen are undergoing a period of transformation with a vision of better serving a changing wider church, recognizing and living more fully into the strengths of each site, and prioritizing access to camp by the churches in our local conference.
